Phil Donahue is an American talk show host, writer, and film producer. He was the host of The Phil Donahue Show from 1967 to 1996.

Phil is the son of Catherine/Katherine (McClory) and Phillip Donahue. He grew up in an Irish Catholic family. Phil is married to actress and producer Marlo Thomas. He has five children with his former wife Margaret Cooney.
