Noah Schnapp is an American actor. He is known for starring as Will Byers on Stranger Things, and for his roles in the films The Peanuts Movie, as the voice of Charlie Brown, Waiting for Anya, Abe, Hubie Halloween, and The Tutor.

He grew up in Scarsdale, New York. He was raised in Reform Judaism. His parents, Karine and Mitchell Schnapp, are from Montréal, Québec, Canada. His father is Ashkenazi, with Russian Jewish ancestry, and his mother is Sephardi, of Moroccan Jewish descent, with roots in Rabat.

Noah was Bar Mitzvah in Israel.

Noah’s paternal grandfather is David Schnapp (the son of Moe Schnapp and Bertha Rothberg). Moe was the son of Joseph Schnapp, who was born in Austria, and of Mina Mendels, who was born in Russia. Bertha was born in Ottawa, the daughter of Levi/Louis Rothberg and Ida Schlak.

Noah’s paternal grandmother is Donna Wexler (the daughter of Jack Wexler and Belle/Bella Brisk).

Noah’s maternal grandfather was named Maurice Perez (the son of Avraham Perez and Iza).
