Maine Mendoza is a Filipina actress, television personality, singer, songwriter, and blogger. She became known for her Dubsmash videos, for the segment Kalyeserye of the show Eat Bulaga!, where she joined supercouple AlDub alongside Alden Richards; and for her blog Pessimistic Optimist Bella. She has also starred in the films My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore and Imagine You & Me. She wrote and sang the theme song for the latter film.

She is the daughter of Mary Ann Capili, an accountant, who ownes gasoline stations, and Teodoro “Teddy” Bernardo Mendoza, Jr., an engineer, who works with road construction. Maine is married to actor and politician Arjo Atayde.

Maine’s paternal grandfather was Teodoro Nicolas Mendoza, Sr. (the son of Demetrio Mendoza and Hipólita C. Nicolás).

Maine’s paternal grandmother was Ana “Anita” de Leon Bernardo (the daughter of Regino Bernardo and Marciana de León).
