Glenn Beck is an American television personality, radio host, political commentator, writer, filmmaker, producer, and businessperson. He has hosted the show the Glenn Beck Program, in one format or another, since 2006.

Glenn is a convert to the Mormon (LDS) faith. He is married to Tania. He has two children with his former wife Claire, and two with Tania.

Glenn’s paternal grandfather was William A. Beck, Sr. (the son of Jacob M. Beck and Christina Margaret Kost). William was born in South Dakota. Jacob was born in Triesenberg, Germany, the son of Michael Beck and Clara Engleman. Christina was born in Worms, Odessa, Russia, to an ethnic German family, the daughter of Jacob Kost and Margretta Lutz.

Glenn’s paternal grandmother was Sarah Edith Francis (the daughter of Noah Filbert Francis and Ruie Grace Brooks). Sarah was born in Montana. Noah was the son of John W. Francis and Julia Ann Bales. Ruie was the daughter of Levi Brooks and Sarah Paulis, who was of German descent.

Glenn’s maternal grandfather was Edward Lee Janssen (the son of Jaretino Corneal Janssen and Veitke/Wake Mary Poppen). Edward was born in Iowa. Jaretino was German. Veitke was born in Illinois, to German parents, Herman Poppen and Trentza D. Feikein.
