Early Life
Garrett Hedlund’s full name is Garrett John Hedlund. He was born to parents Kristine Anne and Robert Martin Hedlund on the day of September 3, 1984. He was born in Roseau which lies in Minnesota. He has two siblings. He is the youngest among the three. His elder sister is named Amanda and his elder brother is named Nathaniel. He grew up near a small town in Minnesota called Wannaska in a beef cattle farm.
He loved reading as a kid. He completed his high school education from Horizon High School in Arizona. During the time he was in school, he got involved in various activities like merle fight, track and field, ice hockey, and football. He used to work as a waiter and from the money he saved, he used to attend lessons with Jean Fowler. He learned about speeches and script material from his acting coach Jean Fowler.

In 2004, he appeared in the mythological war drama film “Troy”. He was 19 when he got the role. He starred alongside Brad Pitt and played the role of Patroclus.
